Mommy's Lil' 7 Week Blueberry:-)
7 weeks and you cut the fool?!?
Lil Boogie...um, um, um. I must say. You started off being the world's calmest embryo. You gave Mommy lots of bloat, but that's it. Everyday, everyone from my boss to your Grandma's ask Mommy has she gotten sick and she's like NOPE! I'm beating morning sickness. Me and Lil' Boogie are against it!
And what do you do... hmmph! Well I'll tell you.
It all started Wednesday, the day before your seven week milestone. Mommy has the day off. And boy did she need it! She drops Daddy off at the office, and goes to here favorite retreat...the nail salon. This is where Ken, Mommy nail tech treats her like a million bucks. He gave her an hour long pedicure followed by a wonderful manicure and Mommy felt great.
Next stop for Mommy was the mall. This would be your first trip to the mall and it is another one of my favorite places. We go into Nordstroms, Mommy's favorite store. Mommy sees some boots she plans to talk to Daddy about because she thinks they are fabulous. Mommy finds the most perfect new foundation, and is pumped. Everything going well right...?
Well, we walk out of Nordstorms and go looking for Mommy some stuff she can fit since her pregnancy bloat is out of control and has the belly of a second trimester lady. She finds something cute for Daddy and then it hits...Mommy all of sudden can smell every perfume, deodorant, spray, or oil each person in the mall put on. It was like a cloud of cologne. UGH!! Mommy tried to ignore it, but then it mixed with the smell of a prezel/dog...YUCK! And don't you know it...Mommy was running to the nearest portapotty.
Mommy hadn't had anything to eat because she feels full all the time (due to the bloat) so nothing came up, but the wave of queeze was here to stay. Because I felt you and I had discussed we were rejecting Morning Sickness, she decided to throw some water on her face and go back out there and shop! But not 5 minutes later your new BFF Mr. Queeze comes back and Mommy knows at this point they must be pumping Cool Water, or Old Spice or some equally as obtrustive colonges through the vents in the mall. I looked around to see if anyone else thought this was weird, but everyone else seemed okay with it.
Mommy tried relentlessly to get to the store I'd driven 20 miles to get to, but when I get to the store, guess what its next to...Yep...the food court! So now Mommy is dying and knows people are looking at her weird because her face is bright green by now. She not only smells Old Spice, but Arby's, Sbarro's and Chickfila all mixed together. UUUUGGGGHHHHH!
Mommy rushed out of the mall, with almost nothign she'd come for and she couldn't believe you acted this way. You def are your Daddy's baby! And did you stop there...nope! Mommy got home from dinner with Dad and was curled up in the fetal position all night...dry heaving! The worst.
Mommy woke up with a very sore belly and an attitude, and the need to pray to the porcelin God all yesterday morning. Yesterday was a big day at Mommy's office and she was so weak from throwing up water and air that she couldn't make it into the office until 3pm! Boogie? Why?
Yesterday was your 7 week milestone and we were supposed to celebrate. Mommy had a business dinner to go to and could not eat anything but lemons the whole night to get the taste of dry heave out of her mouth.
I just hope that Wednesday and yesterday is not setting any type of precident and this was just a fluke. Daddy thinks you just hate the mall like him and wanted me to realize this and if that's the case fine, online shopping from here on out! But don't do Mommy like that! I love you too much. Mommy had already been bragging on how you were going to not give her any trouble now or during labor. So lets make good on those promises Lil' Boog!
Even though Mommy's still a little sick and week today, she is going to just try to forget all of that every happened okay. She has her little bottle of Emetrol which is helping get rid of your little friend Mr. Queeze, but I'm going to need your help too Lil' Boogie. If you don't make Mommy sick anymore, I promise to put some rice cereal in your bottle at like week 3 okay? Deal?

Corporate Mommy
With all that said and done, Mommy is sleepy! And she thinks she is suffering from baby brain. Today, she was faced with the revision of 3 contracts and doing a negotiation and typically, that'd be exciting because Mommy loves a challange, but today, she just wanted to cry.
She told her boss her baby brain wouldn't let her do it. After about 40 minutes on the phone, they worked it out and she completed it, but man, Corporate Mommy 2 Be is tough.
In addition to being your Mommy, I have to be the pseudo Mommy for many grown ups and right now Mommy is just tooo exhausted. I think I'm going to take my mandated "BABY BREAKS" (I get an hour every 4 to go take a nap) and just go relax and talk to you so you don't feel that Corporate Mommy doesn't have time for you. You are most important, now and forever!

SleepyTime Barbie
Mommy has been so tired this weekend. Daddy has been getting on her for writing to you in a couple of days (you know, he could write to you too:-) The weekend has been good. Auntie Amber came over and hung with Mommy and we watched a hilarious movie called Waitress about a lady who was also expecting a baby, but was not as...happy as Mommy is, lol. Of course there was a happy ending and she was very happy once she delivered.
Also, Mommy's friend Joi delivered her baby boy Cameron on Saturday! Mommy has been letting her rest, but can't wait to here all about the delivery. She said it was "amazing"...amazing:-)
Tomorrow ends Mommy's weekend and she goes back to the grind of the work week. This is the last week Mommy and her ASI family at Commerce will work together. Mommy is actually really sad about that because they have been with her since she started. Mommy will stay at Commerce for almost 2 more months all alone. Well, now, I'll have you so that will be good:-)

Dr. Appointment #2
The nurse finally took the blood and said that your first sonogram will be around March 7, 2008. It will be finalized once my blood works comes back tomorrow. I hope my levels are through the roof and your are growing big and strong in Mommy's womb:-)
Mommy got a lead on some good Doctor's that are closer to our house, so she may change in the upcoming weeks. I'll keep you posted. I can't wait to get the sonogram and look and you and hear you little heart beating for the first time!!! I'm getting emotional just thinking about it:-)

Mommies 2 B
Craving of the week...
Mommy thinks you have an Asian theme going on in there because you LOVE rice! Mommy wants it everyday with every meal. I don't think thats a bad thing though. Its very filling. Daddy and I ate this afternoon and I'm still full/bloated, lol. Actually, I feel "bloated" after every meal.
Quick lesson Lil' Boog, Ladies typically try and preserve their sexy and hold their stomachs in a little to minimize the pooch, but Mommy's is already poking out! I can only imagine what it'll look like in say... a month, lol. I'll have Daddy take a pix to put on here tomorrow.
Anyhoo...I'm attaching your favorite meal of the week. I'm sure it will vary as the weeks and months pass, but I can't get enough of this right now:-)

Happy Valentine's Day!!!
Everyone has been bringing Mommy to tears today with beautiful sentiments and Happy Valentine's Day wishes. Daddy made Mommy a custom card and it was sooooo beautiful. I'll show it to you when you are able to read (probably about 3 years because you are going to be a genuis). Your Mema Franie sent an awesome card to all of us (above). Isn't it GREAT! You are so LOVED!

The Fam!

And the results are in!
Also, Mommy did a little shopping and bought you your first Pajama outfit. I'm not sure if you are a girl or boy yet, so I got one in each color. Mommy can't wait to shop for you and dress you up! You are going to be such a hit!
Ok, so that's all for me. Oh, your Daddy is going through it, he is experiencing all my symptoms too. He's been sleepy, and hungry, and has had a headache since we found out about you. I'm sure it may also be just the excitement. Mommy's going to take care of him when she gets home from work.
I'm counting down the days until I get to see your for the first time...right now I'm looking at about...34 more weeks, or 238 days. WOW! That seems like a long time, but I want you to stay in this 5 star hotel Mommy has (also called my womb) until you are ready!
Love you Lil' Boogie Woogie

Dr. Appointment #1
She calculated that you are just shy of 5 weeks...this means you are about the size of a grain of rice...TINY! She could not do a full exam and feel you because you are too small, but she will do that in a couple of weeks.
She took Mommy's blood to check her hormone levels and to confirm that you are really in there (which I know you are:-) Tomorrow the Doctor will call back to let us know when the next appointment is. I'm sure that is one Daddy will want to be at because then they will do a Sonogram. The Doctor plans to do an early sonogram because Mommy's side of the family gets sick easily and we want to keep a good eye on you. This will be your first picture to world and I can't wait!!!
Anyhoo, I hope you enjoy the Prenatals I got. They are as big my cell phone, but packed with everything you need to be beautiful, smart, and healthy.
I LOVE You Lil' Boog....
Your First Day at Work
He did suggest, along with Grandma, that I take something. So we called urgent care and they told me I can take Tylenol. It worked...eventually, and I think a lil laughter from your Auntie Candy in Cali helped!
I made Daddy dinner, and then we found out that...yep, you don't like bacon. I use it to fry corn, so of course I had a piece, but you quickly showed me you are against pork, lol. Why bacon Lil' Boog, why???
I recovered quickly, and went on to have a good night. Tomorrow is your first day in the office. You get to ride the metro and everything! I hope no one has on any stinky perfume because I don't think you like that either.
I'm going to get some rest now...I love you...

Rae Pembroke on Change
Most of the time, what you think people are...they are. They show you, but for some reason we try to change 10-20-hell 30 years of mess that has been brewing before we got on the scene. I think sometimes, as women, our maternal insticts tell us contradicting things.
On one hand, we tend to cultivate or nuture people with problems in hopes that one day they will get better. On the other hand we have instincts like a mutha that tell us exactly what to do (run most of the time), but we are too busy ego stroking that that little voice in our heads gets quieter and quieter.
I think, maybe for a month...we should just try going with your instincts. If something inside you pulls you one way, go with it. Don't over think it...see where it leads you. It may lead you to something good...or out of something bad. Try it...
